His four-game suspension over, Washington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has reported to Redskins Park this morning, Larry Weisman reports.
Haynesworth's suspension, which is under appeal, cost him $847,000 in base salary.
The two-time Pro Bowler is under contract with the Redskins for 2011, but as long as Mike Shanahan is the head coach, Haynesworth is unlikely to be back with the team.
Still, as an employee of the team, Haynesworth has to undergo an exit physical and complete the necessary paperwork before he and the other 1,000+ other players on non-playoff team head off on their indefinite vacations.
"I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle – victorious."
