The Atlanta Falcons announced that they have released kicker Steven Hauschka and rookie tight end Colin Peek.
Rookie safety Gabe Derricks, who spent the OTAs and mini-camp with the Falcons, has been re-signed.
Hauschka was 1-for-2 on field goal attempts during the Falcons’ pre-season opener, connecting from 37 yards out and coming up short on a 50-yard attempt. Hauschka converted his one extra point attempt, and kicked off three times, putting all three near the Chiefs’ goal-line. Hauschka made one special teams tackle.
Peek, who played his college ball at Alabama, was not active for the pre-season opener and was released with an injury settlement (knee).
