Eagles Debunk Andy Reid/Jon Gruden Rumor

The Philadelphia Eagles have issued a statement debunking a rumor from former fullback Kyle Eckel that head coach Andy Reid was being replaced with former NFL head coach and current ESPN analyst Jon Gruden.

“Early this morning we have received several inquiries regarding the rumors regarding Andy Reid and Jon Gruden,” the Eagles announced. “This was simply a rumor and there is no basis to it at all. It is simply not true.”

Over the weekend, the New Orleans Saints issued a statement debunking a rumor that head coach Sean Payton was leaving to become the general manager of the Dallas Cowboys.
