Dolphins to Hire Brian Daboll For OC Position

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the Miami Dolphins will hire Brian Daboll to replace Dan Henning at the offensive coordinator position.

Daboll, 35, has spent the last two seasons as Eric Mangini's offensive coordinator with the Cleveland Browns.

Plagued by stability issues at the quarterback position, the Browns ranked 32nd and 29th in total offense in 2009 and 2010. Inconsistency at the position has also been an issue for the Dolphins, who are likely to seek a veteran stop-gap and a developmental passer this off-season.

Prior to his stint in Cleveland, Daboll coached the New York Jets quarterbacks for two seasons after spending seven seasons with the New England Patriots, the last five of which coaching the receivers.
