Derek Anderson Will Remain Cardinals Starting QB

Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt will stick with Derek Anderson as his starting quarterback, Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic.

Anderson completed 16-of-35 pass attempts for 196 yards and an interception during last night's 27-6 loss to San Francisco 49ers. During Anderson's post-game press conference, he angrily denied laughing on the sidelines with the team trailing by 18 points in the fourth quarter before storming away from the podium.

For the season, Anderson has completed 52.8% of 307 pass attempts for 1,972 yards, with 7 touchdowns and 9 interceptions for a passer rating of 68.2. Arizona's other quarterback options at this point are 2010 fifth-round pick John Skelton and undrafted rookie free agent Max Hall, who struggled in three starts earlier this season.

The Cardinals host the NFC West-leading St. Louis Rams on Sunday.
