Cowboys to Introduce Jason Garrett as Head Coach

The Dallas Cowboys have called a 1:30pm CT press conference, presumably to announce what the football world have suspected for weeks, if not years: That Jason Garrett is the eighth head coach in Dallas Cowboys history.

One of the NFL's most highly-compensated coordinators, Garrett has long been suspected to be the heir apparent to Wade Phillips as the team's head coach. The 44-year old compiled a 5-3 record after taking over for Phillips midway through the 2010 regular season.

Dallas has satisfied the Rooney Rule by interviewing receivers coach Ray Sherman and Miami Dolphins assistant coach Todd Bowles, both of whom could wind up as coordinators on Garrett's staff.
