Cowboys Sign LB Kenwin Cummings Off Jets Practice Squad

The Dallas Cowboys have signed linebacker Kenwin Cummings off the New York Jets practice squad, Cummings' agent, Robert Walker, announced on Twitter.

Cummings replaces first-round wide receiver Dez Bryant, who was placed on injured reserve.

Signed by the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Wingate in 2008, Cummings spent most of the previous two seasons on the Jets' practice squad before earning a spot on the 53-man roster by leading the team in tackles (12) during the pre-season.

Cummings was active for three games with the Jets this season, but accumulated no statistics and was waived and re-signed to the practice squad in mid-October.

To replace Cummings, the Jets signed linebacker Brashton Satele and cornerback Isaiah Trufant to the practice squad. First-year guard/tackle Andre Ramsey has been released from the Jets' practice squad.
