Colts Sign LB Nate Triplett

The Indianapolis Colts have signed rookie linebacker Nate Triplett, Phillip Wilson of the Indianapolis Star reports.

A fifth-round pick (167th overall) out of the University of Minnesota by the Minnesota Vikings, Triplett has been on the San Diego Chargers practice squad since Week 5. The 6-3, 240-pound linebacker had six tackles and a pass defensed for the Vikings during the 2010 pre-season, but was waived on September 4.

Triplett takes the roster spot of linebacker Cody Glenn, Indianapolis’ leading tackler on special teams who was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday.
