Colts Re-Sign RB Dominic Rhodes

Free agent running back Dominic Rhodes has re-signed with the Indianapolis Colts, Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star reports.

In seven NFL season, including six with the Colts, Rhodes (5-9, 2030 has rushed for 3,114 yards and 26 touchdowns, adding 146 receptions for 1,021 yards and 4 touchdowns as a receiver out of the backfield. Rhodes has also a 23.1-yard kick return average, with a pair of 88-yard touchdowns.

Originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Midwestern State, Rhodes spent five seasons in Indianapolis before signing with the Oakland Raiders in 2007. Rhodes returned to the Colts in 2008 and went to training camp with the Buffalo Bills in 2009.

Rhodes was most recently with the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League.

The Colts play the Tennessee Titans on Thursday, and it's unclear if running backs Joseph Addai (neck), Mike Hart (ankle) and Donald Brown (ankle) will all be available to play on the shortened week.
