Cardinals Players Vote to Decertify Union

The Arizona Cardinals players voted unanimously to authorize the NFLPA to decertify itself next year, Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic reports.

Decertification would allow the union to sue the National Football League under United States anti-trust laws should the owners force a work stoppage.

Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett is expressing some of his opinions on the labor situation on his always entertaining Twitter page.

An unofficial tally has the following teams conducting votes thus far:

Arizona Cardinals
Baltimore Ravens
Buffalo Bills
Chicago Bears
Cincinnati Bengals
Dallas Cowboys
Detroit Lions
Green Bay Packers
Indianapolis Colts
Jacksonville Jaguars
Kansas City Chiefs
New Orleans Saints
New York Giants
New York Jets
Philadelphia Eagles
Pittsburgh Steelers
Washington Redskins

The New England Patriots' vote to decertify, originally scheduled for September, is now scheduled for November 11, Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe reports.
