Buccaneers to Sign OL Derek Hardman Off Practice Squad
By admin
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will sign rookie offensive lineman Derek Hardman off the practice squad, Stephen Holder of the St. Petersburg Times reports.
Second-year fullback Chris Pressley will be placed on waivers.
An undrafted free agent out of Eastern Kentucky, the 6-6, 300-pound Hardman signed with the Buccaneers in May and has spent the first six weeks of the 2010 season on the practice squad.
The Buccaneers will be without center Jeff Faine for several weeks with a quadriceps injury, pressing guard Jeremy Zuttah into service at the center position. Starting guards Keydrick Vincent (back) and Davin Joseph (knee) are both questionable for Sunday. Rookie center/guard Ted Larsen, a sixth-round pick of the New England Patriots, could start at one of the guard spots.
