The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed free agent cornerback Trae Williams, reports Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times.

Rookie defensive back Darrell Pasco has been "waived/injured" after injuring his shoulder in the pre-season opener against the Miami Dolphins.

Williams was a fifth-round pick (159th overall) out of South Florida by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2008. Williams has yet to appear in an NFL game, and over the last two seasons has had practice squad stints with the Philadelphia Eagles (2008) and Seattle Seahawks (2009), and finished last season on the Pittsburgh Steelers' 53-man roster.

Pittsburgh waived Williams in June.

Williams has 10 tackles and an interception during pre-season action.
