Buccaneers LB Geno Hayes Arrested

Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Geno Hayes was arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct this morning, Keith Morelli of the Tampa Tribune reports.

According to the report, Hayes became belligerent when asked to leave the Blue Martini nightclub, allegedly making threats to police and club staffers.

Officers used a stun gun on Hayes, who measures in at 6-1 and 226 pounds.

Hayes posted $750 bail and was released shortly after 5am.

A sixth-round pick out of Florida State in 2008, Hayes has 172 tackles, 4 quarterback sacks, and three interceptions in 37 career games. Hayes has started at weak-side linebacker for the Buccaneers the last two seasons, and ranks third on the team with 61 tackles.

Hayes had three tackle and his first quarterback sack of the season during the Buccaneers' 17-16 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday afternoon in Landover, Maryland.
