Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com reports the Cleveland Browns have waived defensive end Keith Grennan.
The 6-4, 298-pound Grennan began his NFL career with the San Diego Chargers, signing as an undrafted free agent from Eastern Washington in 2007. Grennan spent his entire rookie season and first twelve weeks of the 2008 season on the Chargers' practice squad. Grennan posted one tackle in the one game he was on an active NFL roster, and was placed on injured reserve the following week.
Grennan was waived by the Chargers at the end of last year's training camp, and signed to the Browns' practice squad. Grennan was placed on "Practice Squad/Injured Reserve" in week 10, and his contract was terminated at the end of the year. Grennan signed a "Reserve/Futures" contract with the Browns in January.
Today's transaction leaves the Browns with 73 signed players and six unsigned 2010 draft picks.
