Browns Waive 5 to Fit Signed RFAs

To fit the five restricted free agents who signed their one-year tenders on Monday, the Cleveland Browns have waived five players, including three undrafted free agents, a league source said.

Waived on Monday were safety Matthew Harris (Arkansas), tight end Ryan Moya (UCLA), and nose tackle Martin Tevaseu (UNLV)--all undrafted free agents--as well as veteran fullback Jed Collins and nose tackle Jonathan Lewis.

Collins, who has spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs since going undrafted out of Washington State in 2008, has yet to appear in an NFL game. Lewis, a sixth-round pick out of Virginia Tech by the Arizona Cardinals in 2006, totaled four tackles in four games as a rookie, but has not appeared in an NFL game since that season. Lewis has had brief stints with the Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Browns now have 80 players signed to the off-season roster, and have eight unsigned 2010 draft picks.
