Browns to Re-Sign CB John Bowie

The Cleveland Browns will re-sign cornerback John Bowie, David Lee, Bowie's agent, announced on Twitter.

A 5-11, 190-pound cornerback, Bowie appeared in just five games for the Oakland Raiders, who selected him in the fourth-round of the 2007 NFL Draft with a pick famously acquired from the New England Patriots in exchange for wide receiver Randy Moss.

Bowie made two special teams tackles during his career before he placed on injured reserve with a knee injury last September. The Raiders waived Bowie with an injury settlement a few weeks later.

Bowie, who played his college ball at the University of Cincinnati, signed with the Browns in February, but was trimmed off the 80-man roster in order for the Browns to sign their 2010 draft class.
