Cleveland Browns safety Nick Sorensen was immobilized and carted off the field with an apparent head/neck injury while covering a kickoff during the second quarter of the Browns' pre-season game against the Detroit Lions.

Ron Del Duca, Sorensen's agent, announced that Sorensen was ok.

"client/friend nick sorensen ok after being taken off the field from sp. teams collision.told by Browns he is moving limbs & is responsive...", Del Duca posted on Twitter.

Steve Courtney, sideline reporter for WWJ-TV, which is broadcasting the game for the Lions, reported that Sorensen's immediate family confirmed that he is ok and has been taken to the hospital for observation.
