Browns RB Montario Hardesty Returns to Practice

Cleveland Browns second-round running back Montario Hardesty will practice on Thursday, head coach Eric Mangini announced this morning.

Hardesty, who was dogged by a lengthy list of injuries coming out of Tennessee, sustained a bone bruise to his right knee during the rookies-only portion of training camp, which has prevented him from battling Jerome Harrison for the feature back role in the Browns' offense.

Hardesty is not expected to play in Saturday afternoon's game against the Detroit Lions, but could see playing time in the pre-season finale against the Chicago Bears.

Mangini added that second-year cornerback Coye Francies has been activated from the PUP list.
