Chicago Bears linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer has been placed on injured reserve, reports Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.
Biggs adds that the 29-year old Hillenmeyer did not travel with the team for the pre-season finale due to an illness, and left Sunday’s season-opener against the Detroit Lions with an “undisclosed illness”.
“Honestly, I am feeling better,” Hillenmeyer told “The Mully & Hanley Show” on WSCR-AM 670 on Tuesday, according to Biggs. “I don’t know exactly the details of all that. You know how (head coach) Lovie (Smith) is about talking about anything health-related. We’ll leave it at that.”
