49ers Add Pair of Coaches to Staff

The San Francisco 49ers announced a pair of additions to the coaching staff on Friday.

Reggie Davis has been named tight ends coach, while Peter Hansen was named defensive quality control coach.

Davis, who played tight end at the University of Washington in the 1990s, was a former teammate of 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh with the San Diego Chargers (1999-2000) before embarking on a coaching career. Davis has coached the running backs at Oregon State the last three seasons.

Hansen joins the 49ers after spending the last three seasons on Harbaugh's coaching staff at Stanford. Hansen was a defensive assistant for two years, working under new 49ers defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.
