Video: Brett Favre Steals Kids Football

I was surprised to see Brett sign anything, but he makes up for it by driving off with a kid’s football.

Stay classy Bert.

Isn’t it funny how we were blinded by being a fan of how truly much of an ass this guy really is and was

  3. packsmack25 says:

If I had been there, I would have taken the opportunity to kick the crap out of his ankle before the bodyguards stepped in…

  4. Jeremy says:

Right, because Brett is the one who tossed the football in there, then rolled the window up and drove off from the back seat. (As he was making a move to return the football, just to add that much more to the taunt, of course.)

    • Alex says:

      Viking fan alert ;)

      • Jeremy says:

I think you mean “not completely bitter fan alert” :)

There’s nothing to see here. The only thing to take from this video is that the ESPY’s have to hire new security guys and get a better parking set up, ’cause if every celeb there deals with half that, people are going to stop showing up.

        • John Rehor says:

He should have signed what he could on his way to the car, gotten in the car and closed the window. Leaving the window open had another meaning in this case: autograph seekers thought he would still sign, which he did. I just don’t agree with leaving with a kids ball. Not an adult who was autograph hounding, a kid.

          • Jeremy says:

“He should have … gotten in the car and closed the window.”

And if someone dropped a football in there in the mean time, what then? What you describe as what he “should have” done is essentially what did happen. So, lets say he stops, rolls down the window, and 3 more people shove balls in there, and one person tosses theirs in. They can play that game all night, and I don’t know about you, but “If you toss something into my car I’m forced to interact with you” is a pretty bad precedent to set.

“He” didn’t leave with anything. He wasn’t driving. Deanna is just as much a “jerk” as Brett is by your logic. She made off with some 5 year old dying kid’s ball as much as Brett did.

I bet they were super excited about what they could do with the profits from selling their booty on the black market.

Brett had to work long and hard for this, but he finally became famous enough for people to lose control of themselves, and their possessions around him. I’m pretty sure his entire career up until this point was just a ruse to steal some kid’s football.

            • John Rehor says:

You’re right, I’m saying what I would have done. Was I at the ESPYs with piss poor security allowing hounds to get in Favre’s face. No I wasn’t. I’m not that lucky.

What I know is if I was in that situation, i would have moved from door to walkway, signed what I could, got in the car and left. Has Favre earned that right to do that? Yes he has. Did he do that? No he did not.

Should he have chucked the ball out of the car? My opinion, yes.

              • Jeremy says:

Right, but you act like Favre radioed out to the driver “be sure the window is rolled down, I want to screw with some people. The window was down, it was rolled up shortly after there wasn’t a kid’s arm in the way, and I’m sure the driver took off as soon as he could do so without being charged with 10 counts of vehicular manslaughter.

He was going to hand it back. The ball wasn’t in his lap, the kid just tossed it somewhere in the back of a dark car. Brett was looking and the driver took off. He could have had him stop while they scoured the back for it, and potentially repeated everything with another ball, sure. He also could have tossed it from the moving car, but then I’m sure you’d all be talking about how Brett illegally threw an object from a moving car, almost certainly in an attempt to kill a nearby puppy.

                • Jeremy says:

You know he’s already been a Viking for a year, right? :)

Um, not quite. But if you want to think that, go right ahead.

  5. Anita says:

Ahhhh. So nice to have him be someone else’s douchebag now!

  6. Anita says:

Although being pestered and having things shoved in your face by obnoxious hounds is pretty douchy in itself.

But, this is the tradeoff when you’re an attention seeking, narcissistic famewhore. You have to endure shit like this. It’s what you live for. It’s what makes you play cat and mouse with the media every summer and have the four-letter-network camped at your doorstep waiting with baited breath for your next (bowel) movement.

  7. Aaron says:

I’m with Jeremy. Autograph hounds blow. Even kids. This isn’t a Mean Joe Green Coke commercial. Get the f’k out of the mans way and let him get in his car with his family. Jesus Christ.

  8. JonBob says:

I’m sorry guys…I don’t see it. At all. I really don’t like Brett Favre that much right now, but I think most of you are letting it go to your head. Of all the things to use to build the case that Brett is a douche, you use this? Weak.

    • Alex says:

I don’t know that I am making a case for anything. I’m posting a video, showing surprise at Favre signing anything for free, and then highlighting his perhaps inadvertent snatch of that kid’s football. Great entertainment.

    • FITZCORE1252 says:

Jon, I clicked on your link to see this – “I’m Calling It: A Sophomore Slump for Clay Matthews”. Shut your mouth, shut your dirty little mouth. Of course I didn’t read what you had to say, you lost me from the beginning. Good luck with your site though.

  9. PackersRS says:

    It’s either:
    1) He stole the ball. Even if the kid dropped the ball, it was still in Favre’s sight. If someone drops something in front of you, you don’t just take away with it.

    2) He’s senile, and actually didn’t see the ball in front of him. It’s a sign of age. Favre doesn’t sense things very well anymore. This could also explain this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smhiIIekc8g

  10. Tim says:

LMAO great, would love to see more players pull this on those autograph hounds. The majority of signed footballs are sold for profit not kept as a keep sake. A lot of sellers have their kids doing the dirty work.

  11. jbeebe1571 says:

Yup, he’s a knob. But who’s the bigger knob: the knob, or the knob who follows him? Wow, I hate slow football news time….oh wait…..this just in… Johnny Jolly is a thug dumbass.

  12. Do you really think he took the football to hurt some kids feelings? It is ludicrous think this was some malicious act. It is great that you all have unwavering love for the Packers, but it should not cloud your judgement this much.
