Is it Raji?

I’ll tell you one thing, the folks over at PackerHQ REALLY get into the draft. As of today, they say B.J. Raji.
In their latest mock draft they have the one of the hottest players falling to the Packers at #9. Here is the lowdown on Raji.
“B.J. Raji is arguably the hottest and fastest-rising prospect in the draft this year, and there’s no doubt he definitely deserves it. During the Senior Bowl week, he’s been dominating the practices, making the offensive lineman look completely foolish. Depending on how his Combine goes, he has a definite shot of landing a spot earlier than this. If he does make it to Green Bay, though, they absolutely cannot pass him up. Green Bay will be running the 3-4 defense, and to utilize that scheme, you need a big-bodied defensive tackle to stuff the run. B.J. Raji is an extremely gifted athlete and will consistently dominate the opposition, improving Green Bay’s sluggish defense.”

There’s issues about his grades but that doesn’t mean shit to me. Is he a smart football player?Does he have the intangible qualities to be a pro player? Passing college courses really aren’t correlated to either of those questions.
I read somewhere he would love to play here and wouldn’t mind being put wherever they want him. I would be happy with this pick0-up
I expect this to change numerous times before the draft, as usual.
Yeah, the worst thing that can happen is when the player we need most gets a “buzz” around him. As long as there’s a good NT, DE, or OT available at #9, I’ll be happy, whoever it is.

Heh. I hate the speculation too. I expect alot more of it in the next couple of months too. I need my Packer news everyday and all the good stuff is running out.
