I don't think it will be Carolina. But it better not be an NFC North team.

Ok- I was just joking about this frickin post but now almost every team's papers is running a story about possibly getting   Favre.

This article by Ryan Wilson sums up some of the coverage:

http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2008/07/04/every-nfl-team-except-the-packers-are-interested-in-brett-favre/

One of the articles in the "how to piss off a Packer fan How-To Manual" from Rick Morrisey of the Chicago Tribune-

here's a quote by him - an example of why the Bears Still Suck-

Quote
IF the Packers are crazy enough to let Favre go, let them. And let Favre enjoy extracting his revenge. Now what city would offer the most in the way of payback?

;)SORRY BUT THE NEW TEAM WILL BE THE NEW YORK JETS. THE REASON IS THAT GREENBAY WOULD BE DUMB TO PUT FAVRE IN THE NFC NORTH. ANYWAY IT WAS THE TEAM WHO WANTED FAVRE IN THE BEGINNING BEFORE THE FALCONS DID, THATS WHO WOULD GIVE HIM THE ONE YR DEAL AND SEE HIM DO BADLY, JUST SO HE CAN PLAY. laugh

well really greenbay doesn't really have a say where farve would go since he retired and is coming out of it, so it can be the NFC north.

i would like it to be the lions were he would go because Brett is always destroying them now is there chance to take him and stop it.

EVEN IF HE RETIRED, THE PACKERS HAVE ALL RIGHTS TO HIM STILL, IF YOU LISTEN TO THE NEWS. THEY WILL TRADE HIM AND HE WILL GO TO THE JETS FOR A 1ST ROUND PICK.  Wink

Packergeeks discusses the rumors.

Quote
if he truly does come back (which I doubt) and the Packers get rid of him, there are a few teams I think might want him: Tampa Bay (Jeff Garcia’s style of game is just too ugly - and Favre may have an interest), Denver (Cutler has been mediocre, Shanahan is smart and knows Cutler may benefit from Favre’s example), Houston (close to home, rising team, unlikely though), Washington (Snyder would love this sort of a PR move, and it would make the Redskins suddenly more legit), Seattle (Holmgren’s last year, Hasselback has been mediocre lately) and Arizona (maybe Whisenhunt ratchets up the QB controversy by bringing in Favre - recognizing that Favre throwing to Fitzgerald and Boldin could be frightening).

Brett was pretty clear in "Favre." Brett was pretty clear that he will play no where else. I may have to re read this book to get my love on for the man

It would be so wrong to see him in any other uniform.

It wasn't that the Jets wanted him in the first place. It was that Ron Wolf wanted him and he at the time was the Gm for the jets.

Maybe the Chiefs they took Montana,An AFC team So long as the Packers get a lot for him.Maybe a trade with conditions on  how long he will play.At least a first and a third rounder.Maybe Favre will put the Packers in a Superbowl while not even playing for the team like Hershel Walker did for the Cowboys in the 90's.Remember allot of non hall of fame quarterbacks have won Superbowls and a lot of Hall of fame quarterbacks have none(Tarkenton,Moon,Fouts and Marino)Are Eli Manning ,Trent Dilfer ,Jeff Hosteler,Brad Johnson and Jim Mchahon great quarterbacks? Take the picks and build your defence and win championships.
