People need to stop making a comparison.

Tundra vision just recently http://cheeseheadtv.com/forum/when_are_we_going_to_sign_ryan_grant-t175.0.html

compared him to Samkon and now Packernet's blog they say-

Quote
OK, lets look at this. Number one, Grant has no bargaining power, the most the Packers would have to pay him is like $375,000 a year. I think two million a year is a pretty good upgrade for a guy who hasn’t proven anything. Samkon Gado did the same thing Grant did and I don’t see him making millions. In fact, I don’t see him in the NFL anymore. What makes anyone think Grant is any different?

You cannot compare these two players. Grants numbers trump Gados- 2nd in the NFL over last eight games? Gado was running behind a powerhouse line. Grants running behind Daryn Colledge.

I agree Grant is NOT Gado! Like you said Grant had a thousand yards for the season and thats ONLY playing the last 8 games imagine what he wouldve done if he wouldve played the first half! Two Gado didnt even rush for that many yards. (I might be wrong), but did he even play that many games!? I thought he got to play towards the end of the season!?

Gado only had the chance to play about 5 games...he started his first game nov 11 2005 and was injured dec 19th...in 143 attempts he had 582 yards...not too shabby to be honest. The Packers, in my opinion, made a stupid choice in letting him go. He went to the Texans, then the Dolphins, and this year according to Wikipedia, has a tryout with the Patriots. No he is not a Ryan Grant for sure, but if Thompson would ever pull his head out of his backside, that would be a fearsome twosome. True Gado's been traded/released, but if you look at it objectively, it's hard for a player to transition to different offenses. Some offenses suit different players much better than others. Grant is better based on his performance, but it's hard to base a salary off of only 8 games played. Had McCarthy actually stuck to the game plan that won them 13 games last year and actually mixed in more running plays than an ANOREXIC 12, we just may be calling ourselves Super Bowl Champions...and we more than likely wouldn't be having to go through all of this Brett Favre Controversy. I hope Thompson gets fired...I really do...

Well in my oppinon I think Thompson IS the reason all this craziness is going on.... I mean who in thier right minds wouldnt want Favre on thier team!? I mean ya Rodgers needs his turn blah blah blah I have a little faith in him, but theres still a HUGE part of me that thinks Rodgers is gonna get hurt before the first half of the season....and two (something ive said since hes decided to come back) why would you want to put in a qb that has little experience(actually playing wise) with a team that are SB contenders when you can put a qb that has worked with this team already and could possible give you a better chance of taking the team to the sb?

And this whole thing with Grant, again can be solved if you want it to be....I know how much he rushed for doesnt have much to do with how much he should be paid, but if you want your guys to do better or to keep doing what they have been doing you have to keep them happy and if you dont then its not going to help your team its going REALLY hurt them thats what Thompson needs to realize, but I agree he needs to be fired like ive said he seems to be the reason why all this unwanted drama has been going on....

pay em what they deserve...the NFL is a ruthless business. For RB's you gotta get paid before you get old...like 28.
