This article makes me sad if it is true.

It actually adds to the notion that this is more than ESPN trying to get numbers up during a slow news cycle. I think Mr. king sums up my feelings as a Packer fan if this HIGHLY UNLIKELY scenario were to result.

Quote
Overwhelmingly the team that makes the most sense to sign Favre for a couple of years is Minnesota. The Vikings are training Tarvaris Jackson to be their quarterback of the future, but he's an unproven commodity with promise at best. Their offensive coordinator is Darrell Bevell, who was Favre's quarterback coach for three years, from 2003-05. They have a close relationship. Not Steve Mariucci-Favre close, but Favre has a lot of respect for him. Imagine Favre in purple. It's an absolutely vomitous scenario for the Packers, imagining Favre playing for their arch-rivals -- and imagining Favre charging out of the tunnel at Lambeau Field for the opening game of the 2008 season. Lambeau Field, Monday Night Football, the night Favre was supposed to have his number retired for the Packers.

WE SHOULD ALL JUST REALIZE THAT ITS GOING TO HAPPEN. YOU SEE IN MY OPINION, BRETT SHOULD HAVE NEVER STATED HE WANTED TO RETIRE. THEN IF HE DIDNT, WE WOULD HAVE HIM FOR ALOT MORE YEARS. BUT I KIND OF WONDER IF HE JUST WANTS TO SEE IF THE TEAM WOULD LISTEN TO HIM IN BRINGING THE TALENT, AND THEY DIDNT. SO IN THE LONG RUN, THE TEAM NOW KNOWS WHAT THEY WANT. IF BRETT COMES BACK WE WILL SEE A TEAM WHO WILL DO GREAT BUT AFTER THAT WHO KNOWS IF THE BRETT FAVRE SAGA WILL GO ON. IT SEEMS LIKE A SOAP OPERA WITH FAVRE. SORRY PACKER FANS BUT IM SICK OF HEARING ABOUT BRETT AND LETS JUST MOVE ON. LET AARON RODGERS HAVE HIS CHANCE AT BEING ANOTHER FAVRE. Wink

It would be great to have him back in the saddle and do not know what all the fuss is about. There have been adjustments made, but how hard would it be to go back to the way it was??? It's not like it would take much getting used to an offense built around Favre since all involved already know it. And isn't the managements number one priority and goal winning the Super Bowl?! Wouldn't you want to give yourself the very BEST possible foot forward? Aaron Rodgers appears to be a very good quality QB and I am ready to accept him as the new leader of our beloved Packers, but to be honest, he seems injury prone AND he is unproven over any extended amount of time. True, he did nearly engineer a win in Dallas but how much were the Cowboys able to prepare for him? I seriously doubt there is much  tape on him not to mention who in their right mind would ever fathom Brett coming out a game? Thompson ought to be jumping on the next plane to Kiln and seeing just how serious Brett is, not working on his tan. What's more important? Your vacation or your team Ted?!?!
