I like DD, but just don't see why he wasn't cut. Many good players end thier careers with a different team than the one that brought them success. I, for one, thought he'd be traded to Miami to help mentor and be a positive locker room presence. At some point, GBP is going to have a salary cap issue. I think Jennings is the best receiver they have, and makes others better; CMIII is one of the best in the league at what he does; Raji may not be a world-beater, but he wouldn't be the easiest to replace. Oh yeah, this guy called Rodgers is the next headline in QB contracts. They'll need all of the cap room they can get from Hawk and Woodson (retire?) to sign these guys; a couple low-priced WR's would certainly help the situation. That said, I find it completely possible that DD's $2.5 million bonus could simply be a VERY nice going away present.
