I’m all for letting your young guys handle the ‘specialists’ and build their confidence. The Pack have never been afraid to kick it to Devin Hester and we stop him.. that has to be worth something to those guys confidences. Confidence in the NFL is a premium attribute to have. So there ya go. Just my humble opinion.

Having 2 kickers only takes away a roster spot from a “FOOTBALL PLAYER”.

If you don’t have the leg to kick-off, beat it.

If you can’t hit on 80% of your FG attempts, beat it.

One 147lb Weenie on the team is plenty, know your role, do your job… WEENIE.

I would much rather get a decent tackling special teams unit to COVER kick-offs than have T-W-O non-football players on the 53 man roster. For the couple of extra yards the “specialist” may net you, you could have a legitimate player not make the 53.

Screw that.

If a FG kicker doesn’t have the leg to kick-off, he’s not worth the roster spot. Conversely if a big legged “specialist” doesn’t have what it takes to hit on 80% of his FG’s he shouldn’t have a roster spot.

One 162 pound weenie to do both. Leave the other 52 for “FOOTBALL PLAYERS”.
