I felt like they would repeat. From day one. This team was destined to repeat, and let it slip away. As a fan, that pisses me off. It was our year.

Will TT sign a free agent? Past says no, and the way McCarthy spoke today indicates the same thing.

Does major work need to be put into improving the defense for next year? Abso-fricking-lutely. This team will not win another Super Bowl with the defense it has right now. It needs help across the board. Fast.

To be honest, I didn’t have the same feeling going into the playoffs this year that I did last year, mainly due to our pathetic defense. I thought we would squeak past the Giants, but I really didn’t feel we would win it all this year. Still, it was a great season, and I am looking forward to next season already. I hope we are aggressive filling the holes on the D. Will Thompson actually sign a FA this off season?

The positive thing is that the window for multiple Super Bowl titles is still wide open for this team.

The bad thing is they let this years opportunity slip right through their fingers. Its a tough pill to swallow, knowing that they were *this close* but I have no doubt they will be back next year-on a mission

To the Packer Nation. Remember that we never have to argue with any others about who has the greatest franchise, because the Packers have the richest pedigree of all. The Vince Lombardi Packers are THE gold standard by which all others are judged, VLs quotes, philosophies are studied by sports and business interests Lambeau is the Mecca of Pro Football, Frozen Tundra, Lambeau Leap, Title Town and cheeseheads have now been incorporated not only in the NFL lexicons, but also are familiar across the sports world because of the Packers. Now the honor Americas Team threatened to be yanked from the Cowboys because of the new chapter being written under the MM TT ARod regime.

The 2011 season was great and disappointing, but the underlying problems eventually showed themselves in this one game that was presented to the D to bail out the O but they just couldnt. Nonetheless, Im looking forward to next year and the completion of unfinished business.

Honestly I was not that upset after the game. I wasnt even really mad or upset during the game. I guess I was more disappointed in the way it ended. If they lost in a hard fought game it would have been better.

However I am not so disappointed or upset afterwards because there is one thing that at least half of the NFL teams dont have(like the MN Vikings, I live in MN and their comments and snide remarks are just stupid), and that is hope. Hope in the future and an understanding that we have a very legit shot at the title again next year. This wasnt a last gasp, or one last push, or an all in year. This is just the 2nd year in the beginning of a bunch of great years making runs at the title. And no matter how much I would love it, you cant win all of them.

Been a Packers fan my whole life 55 years and I’m also an owner. I’ve seen some great teams. I’ve also witnessed some very bad teams. However the thing to remember is we have been “WORLD CHAMPIONS” 13 times, more than any other football franchise. We own our team the only pro sports team in the world that can be owned by the average fan.
We know for sure where OUR team will be playing next year and for as long as there is pro football. And for most of us we have been Packers fans our whole lives, so there will be ups and downs
The 2011 Packers are still one of the greatest teams we have ever had. And Arron Rodgers should still win the MVP this year.
And next Aug. we’ll be there, watching the practices, selling out the stadium for a mere scrimmage game between the offense and the defense. The Packers and their Fan everywhere have nothing to hang there heads about. We have America’s team playing in our back yard.

Than you for putting it all in great perspective! 2011 was, and will be forever, a GREAT season. It is too bad it ended as it did, but bad games happen, and sometimes they serve to remind that there is always room for improvement. I’m sure the players feel the sting of “unfinished” business, as, or more, accutely than any fan. To have the Brass Ring so close, and let it slip away, will drive many of them to strive for even more next year!! GO PACK GO!!! (Win or Lose)
