Top Ten Locks From McCarthy
Ten things Packers coach Mike McCarthy is guaranteed to say at training camp.
I personally don't get into predicting training camp, roster battles, and all the breakdown that will be irrelevant in the next month. What I do get into is stone cold locks, and there will be plenty of those from Mike McCarthy in the next couple of weeks. Here are the top ten things you are guaranteed to hear from Mike during Packers training camp.
Top 10 Things McCarthy Will Say
10. Training camp is definitely a big part of learning for a first year player. It's important for Bryan to be here, but this is a business so you have to expect those things.
9. Matt is clearly way ahead of where he was year ago. From an experience standpoint he's playing a lot faster in and out of the huddle. That's a normal progression for a young quarterback. I think Matt has a bright future in this league.
8. I think the play on special teams will have a big impact this season. The field position battle will be one of the determining factors in how we do. I am pleased with the effort I have seen so far. As a coaching staff this is something we definitely wanted to stress this season. I was very pleased with the work, and very pleased with effort there.
7. I thought the punting was inconsistent, and that's something we need to continue to work on.
6. Our focus is on improving. Now, how many games are we going to win? I don't believe in predictions. But I'll tell you what, we have improved in a number of areas, and it starts with your offseason program. I thought our players did a great job going into last year improving on an individual basis, and you saw it in their production.
5. I talked to Justin this week. But once we get through the official physical, I'll know more. Like I said, when I talked to to the medical staff, they would classify him week to week right now.
4. The first group has been very cohesive. I like the way they're playing. They have a great understanding of the scheme. They're a young group but they're progressing nicely.
3. I have no worries about Mason Crosby. I think Mason is very mature. I like his approach, the way he goes about his business. He's a football kid.
2. No, it didn't. We had a couple of miscues there. We'll get that cleaned up tomorrow.
1. Most improved? I would have to say Brandon Jackson. He looks great in the weight room and continues to make major improvements in his blocking skills since last year. I expect Brandon to be an important part of our offensive plans this season.
Mark it down... it's all but inevitable.

These are all things we know to be true, but C'mon. Coach has to 'tow-the-company-line' and we all know this. He can't come out and state the obvious. If this is new to anyone, you haven't been paying attention. It's all lip-service; if you're expecting anything groundbreaking from MM you are setting yourself up to be disappointed.

I'm officially off training camp. All it serves to do is hype up players who will suck in the reg season.
... that Brandon Jackson though, big improvement... he's gone from being a bust, to being a bust who can block... WOOOOO!!!

That last statement is wrong in so many levels... i don't think Brandon is a superstar back, but last year he played lights out blocking and running with everything he had, even giving us a serviceable screen play from time to time, in which it couldn' go Left cause yeah that's the side of Colledge who has too many ups and downs during games let alone the season.
Oh and i don't really even like Bjackson that much to be honest, but a bust? No i don't think so.

pad level on sacks on rodgers, pad level on rushing oposing qb. pad level on kicking field goal through goal posts,pad level on penalties pad level on macarthy calling a good game plan it all somes up to pad level? sounds like that rabbit keeps going around that same tree.
