Three Punters

I just wanted to point out that right now the Packers have three punters on the roster.
We can all agree last year’s Derrick Frost debacle was unfortunate and it would have been nice if it never happened. Yes, Jon Ryan was better and we decided to go with accuracy over power and what we got was neither. It sucked hardcore and was one of the many reasons we were 6-10.
That won’t be the case this year.
Right now we have three punters on the roster. I know all three won’t be there when the season starts but the fact that the Packers have three already on the team to compete says they learned from that mistake. Kapinos replaced Frost and did a decent job. He kicked it pretty far, which is all I could have asked at that point.
Now we’ve brought in Adam Graessle who has an even bigger leg as well as Georgia Tech’s Durant Brooks.
Those boys will be kicking balls all summer and we’ll start the season with a competent punter. Who’da thunk it?

Durant Brooks is a pretty sweet name. I am pulling for him.
Although the punter had a lot to do with it, the special teams in general was a bigger concern for me. Quinn and Underwood should help there.
With Frost was better to go for 4th down than to punt. The worst punter ever.
TT made a huge upgrade in our ST plays this year. The whole draft had an enfasis on ST. And the retirement of Stock sure will help a lot too.
On the punters, I’m cheering for Graessle. What he showed in that punters minicamp was just extraordinary.
