It's one day closer to the weekend. Time to finish this week with a Six-Pack. Here are six Packer thoughts/stories that seemed worth talking about.

1. Looking to hit the Vikings vs. Packers game in the Metrodome? Are you also looking to get rid of that old rag known as your Brett Favre Packers jersey? Here is a win win situation for you. Unfortunately, you still will be in Minneapolis.

2. I was watching some interviews on the local sports station last evening and came across an interview with Packers' lineman Jason Spitz. I guess I didn't really notice this at all, but Spitz doesn't look anything like an NFL player to me. If you showed me a picture of Spitz I would think Roto-Rooter guy, middle management, or Dominoes dude long before I thought Green Bay Packer. I will let you decide for yourself.

3. What is the deal with everyone talking about trading A.J. Hawk? Give me a frickin' break. He may not be living up to his potential but there is absolutely NO way the Packers are going to part ways with Hawk this season. Please, get the silliness out of your head. A.J. Hawk will be a Packer for quite some time, get used to it.

4. Brian Brohm sucks ass. I won't stand another Brohm defender the rest of the season. The guy is a bust and a complete and total waste of space. The guy can't play the game at this level, and judging by last night's practice it isn't getting better. Even Donald Driver is starting to get pissed off. Suck it up, get rid of the waste of space, and get someone in here who could actually have a shot of doing anything if they needed to see the field. Brian Brohm is not an NFL football player.

EDIT: Thanks to Packer Ranter for bringing to my attention Brohm's medical condition. Is there a foundation for that?

5. I imagine that this is it for Aaron Rouse, both for the season, and probably for his career as a Green Bay Packer. Rouse was carted off the practice field last night with what looked to be a serious hamstring injury. Let's face it, hamstring plus cart equals you're pretty much done. It sucks to see anyone hurt, but I am not a huge Rouse fan anyway. Just because you made a couple of big hits in a game or two doesn't make you a legit gamer.

6. Finally, don't forget about tomorrow night's live Gameday Chat sponsored by PackerHQ. If you weren't around for our in-game chat last season, you missed all the chaos and debauchery that makes game day unique at The Lounge. Please join us tomorrow for the Packers vs. the Buffalo Bills while chatting with other Packer fans completely UNMODERATED. No waiting for comments, no censorship, and it's a free for all so don't miss it. You can always find Gameday Chat at the top of the homepage.

On a side note, since a couple of douchebags are hammering me for threatening to shut down the site unless I got some money, get over it. That's my perogative. It wasn't a ploy, it's the way it was going to be. My first order of business will always be to myself, anyone who doesn't do the same is lying, and stupid. Live with it.

Yay! Six pack!

Love that promotion by that hotel. Not all that great of a deal since you need two nights at a normal price, but still pretty damn clever.

And I'm sick of all the Hawk bashing too. The guy gets bagged on more than Justin Harrell who is a full fledged bust at this point.

I still don't understand why everyone keeps calling Harrell a bust, he's only on year two and he hasn't been on the field enough to prove his worth. I'll save the bust label til he can play a full season, or if he never is able to :P

Paul, Harrell is on his 3rd season.

He is being labeled a bust because his back is seriously screwed up.

Harrell is a nice kid, he is. However, the NFL is a business, and Harrell has the athletic prowess but he is Mr. Glass.

Spot on about Rouse, he's just a taller version of Marques Anderson

1. Damn. If I only knew it sooner. Burnt mine.
2. That guy works with me! No kidding!
3. Exactly.
4. You may ban me, but I'll support him. He needs to get the nfl speed. Then he'll be fine. He's only in his second year. Give me a break.
5. Rouse is the backup of the backup IMO. If anything happens to any of the safeties, it'll be Smith who's gonna replace them.
6. Won't be joining. I'll have to watch the game online, so not only it'll be full screen, because I can't do 2 things at the same time, I'll have to close anything that might take any RAM of the computer, because both my computer and internet sucks. We'll be there for the MNF and SNF games, and some of the afternoon games.

Ha. You really don't have to worry about banning around here. Elmo being point-in-case number one. That being said, Brohm sucks.

"Elmo being point-in-case number one."
Every place needs it's share of humor.

And as his agent, I say it's too early to say Brohm's a bust...

If that's the case, thanks for nothing on the Raji holdout.

I was joking about being Brohm's agent, since Jersey Al called me that during the last blogcast. Didn't know both of them had the same agent...

I don't like the Hawk trade unless you get a first rounder. Otherwise, I welcome depth at any position on defense-- especially since the OLBs are stricken with injuries.

"It wasn’t a ploy, it’s the way it was going to be."

Corey and Aaron of CheeseheadTV never elaborated after those few comments on the show. Sort of cheap if you're going to bring it up. I also don't think Aaron wanted to alienate himself from people who come to Packerslounge and CheeseheadTV-- I spotted quite a few of them in Wednesdays audience. What's kinda funny is the next day he put a plug in one of his posts for "sponsorship" for any shows. Pot meet kettle. That isn't to say I have a problem with either of you asking for sponsorship.

I actually wasn't talking about those guys, and I didn't watch the show yet. Good to know though.

Hey I enjoy the site and am happy your not shutting down (I even donated), but I gotta point out that your side note is eerily exactly what could be going through Favre's head right now.
