The Six-Pack
Since not a lot is going on, and I have a busy day ahead, it's time for a little middle of the week Six-Pack. Here are six Packer stories you should be aware of.

The Six-Pack
1. The Vikings are looking at signing our Mark Tauscher.
2. Former Packer Vonnie Holliday says he is, "Waiting for his phone to ring."
3. This was the best blog post of the day yesterday. Guess I am not alone with my frustrations.
4. Ted Thompson has actually scheduled a visit with backup linebacker Kevin Burnett.
5. I was never on the Pepper's wagon, but he's not coming here.
6. We are drafting Larry English? Really?

He's had Canty and Holliday express explicit interest in the team. If he blows it with Holliday I'm going to be livid.

Kevin Burnett sounds great though. We could use another back-up at OLB. It's just we need a starter.

yeah i will be pissed off too if we dont sign the Packers Savior Vonnie Holliday. if that guy isnt a Packer by tonight... we wont win another game till 3009. We already missed out on Christ Canty, our other only means of winning games in the next season.
but seriously... I pray to God that Ted doesn't even hint at signing Holliday. he was washed up when he left. theres a freakin reason hes waiting for his phone to ring. Asshalo you do realize that you win the Superbowl during the post season and not the off season right???? it seems like you just want anyone signed so you can feel better about the team on paper. Even though the Cowboys and Redskins look good on paper every year and we see how that goes.
im not sure i can handle Tausch in purple. what is it with the Vikings signing all of our cast offs anyway. whatever i hope they keep doing it.

Look at his stats compared to every other 3-4 DE that was or is on the market. He's always been a very effective run stopping DE and sorry but we made a mistake by going with mr. clitorus hunt instead of him about 6 years ago. He's an instant fix to big problem. His tackling stats where well above normal for a 3-4 DE, he's easily got the size to be one, plus there's familiarity with Dom Capers. It doesn't sound like Ted is going to go with him anyway. Pretty much sounded like, "Nice guy but his tank is empty." If he's basing that on revealing medical report then I would have to agree, but based on his production no way. he rarely gets hurt even as he's aged.
But you're right packnic, i'm sure we'll find a starting DE, OLB and back-up NT in the draft. I also like it how you're talking superbowl when we've had one winning season in the past 4 years. Really though, Superbowls are won in the post season? it's just that we've only made it there once in four years and every year we seem to have enourmous gaps. TT has yet to draft a decent OL or DL since you're been here. What makes you think he's going to be able to draft two of them this year?'
Not saying we can't sign anyone else. It's just that this way you're buying another you to get long-term replacement
