Drink it up and pour it down, it’s time for another Packers Lounge six-pack. Here are six Packer’s stories that caught my eye this week.

The Six-Pack

1. We all know I am a big Franklin Hillside and Robert Greenfield fan. This week, from “Greenfield’s Observations, Inventions, Brainstorms & Experiments Room“, he unveiled the latest Packer’s inventions not yet released. An Aaron “The Camping Man” Kampman action figure? I am so on board with that. They need to drive around in Barnett’s “Big Red.”

2. I will be the first to admit that I got on Bubba Franks during his later years as a Green Bay Packer. But, I always liked Bubba. I read a great article this week from Andrew Brandt (former guest on our own Cheeseheadnation) at the National Football Post. The post is a nice little write-up on Bubba and most certainly worthy of a read.

3. Nike has created a Green Bay Packer themed shoe. Maybe it’s just me, but they don’t seem to be all that “Packery.”

4. This is remotely Packer related, but, if you want a taste a humanity at its finest, read the comment section of Nick Barnett’s choice for charity poll. I knew that would be a bad idea.

5. Here is the obligatory CheeseheadTV link up. A little video of Aaron Rodgers at the ESPY award show.

6. Now that Nagler is upset that I called his link obligatory and then linked to a video instead of a well written post, it is because I was saving my accolades for number six. A new series of Cheeseheadnation will begin on August 1st after what has seemed like an eternity since our last show.

Brian Carriveau from Railbird Central, and Nagler have been hard at work preparing interviews and commentary for our training camp series. This, along with the efforts of the human internet machine Corey Behnke, should allow us to once again provide Packer fans with a unique Packer experience.

I am blessed to know all three of these Packer pundits.

I recently had a little squabble with Packers tight end Jermichael Finley on the Twitter. Uh-Oh.

Tuesday on twitter, Finley twitted(tweeted? twittered?) something about how he ate the defense up. Hang on, let me find it.

Yeah, he took it down. Probably a wise choice.

Don’t want Nick to see that!

Anyway, I replied to him with “Less talk, more action” which most of you know is a creed I wish more of our players would keep. He replied with the straight forward “@Dale_Z who are you man” which hurts me because people should know who I am. I mean, I write on a blog, people should know me.

Some say he is only on twitter because he craves attention and compliments, but I don’t think that’s the case, although he certainly makes a case for it sometimes.

The funniest part of this is as many of you know I have been talking Finley up, saying how great he’s going to be. And despite not knowing who I am (I forgive you, Jermichael), I still think he’s going to shock a lot of people with his athletic play. He’s even my early early early Pro Bowl Surprise pick.

So let’s be friends, Jermichael.

I personally invite you to be a guest on our next Cheesehead Nation LIVE show – Wednsday at 8pm CST.  Call in, speak your mind, tell us how good you REALLY are or plug a charity (always good to help the kids).

And even if Jermichael doesn’t show up, the rest of you should. The show’s have been getting better and better with great guests and interviews. Last week’s show with Tom Pelissero was a good one and this one should be even better.
