The Green Bay Packers have signed another defensive end. Former Howard University DE Rudolph Hardie was signed to the practice squad this morning. The former Detroit Lion was released on the final cutdown day.

According to NFL draft reports this spring, Hardie is a promising prospect.

"Compares To: OSI UMENYIORA-New York Giants...Yes, Hardie is a raw prospect who still needs to mature physically, but he is a relentless pass rusher. He might lack explosive timed speed, but his balance, body control and sheer determination has helped him reside in the opposition's backfield. Give him a few years under a patient coaching mentor and you could see the second coming of Umenyiora."

It doesn't sound like he is going to be a factor anytime soon, but a second coming of Umenyiora sound real nice about right now.

Guess we wil have to wait and see.
