Bush hasn’t exactly made the team yet. He can still be cut form the roster and not get a dime come opening day. So, there’s still hope.

First time post…great Packer site. Thanks for the great work.

I believe Pack93 has it right. Bush came into the league undrafted, a walk on with raw talent that needed guidance. Schottenheimer, the ex-DB position coach, was a weak link all along, despite the family jewels. Did he find a job somewhere else?

Moving forward, I am very hopeful with the defensive coaching changes. With good leadership in Capers, the new position coaches will focus on using proper technique backed by real NFL experience.

Jarrett Bush is Jarrett Bush, he’ll always be there to screw up important plays. don’t be fooled by the number of teams interested. They wanted a cheap Special Teams players, but as we all know stats for Jarrett Bush aren’t exactly revealing. He may have been one of our top tacklers on S.T but he also topped penalties and screwed up some big chances.

While I agree he had a knack for drawing the yellow hanky.. is that the only measure of a player?

If so, we better replace Woody and Harris because they draw consistently more penalties that your average NFL starting CB.

Could it be what the coaches asked him to do, technique wise? Could it be a young player not being coached properly? Could it be just youthful mistakes?

While I am not pretending to be in complete support of Jarrett, I am not in complete “hate” mode either with retaining him for the Packers.. potential is potential, whether the name on the jersey is Bush, Williams, or Finley.. they are young players coming into their productive years.. hopefully they produce with proper coaching and being put in a place to succeed.
