Michael Irvin is a moron.
Never one shy of speaking his mind, or making the smartest decisions in life, has let it be known that he thinks the Lombardi Trophy should have its name changed.
I think the world of Belichick, I told him this, ‘Man, if it was up to me, that (Super Bowl) trophy would be called the Lombardi/Belichick.’ I don’t care what they think. It would be called the Lombardi/Belichick. That’s how good he is to do what he’s doing in this day and age, what the league is now.
I would call it the Lombardi/Belichick
In case anyone forgot, the Lombardi Trophy was named after Vince Lombardi, a coach who merely won 5 NFL titles in 7 years, including the first two Super Bowls, going a mere 105-35-6 during his coaching career.
Apparently Irvin must have forgotten about Belichick’ s stellar 36-44 record as coach of the Cleveland Browns in the mid ’90s. Or that he hasn’t won a Super Bowl in 7 years. Or that he has lost the last 2 Super Bowls Belichick has coached (following the 2007 and 2011 seasons, losing both to the Giants).
Keep talking Michael. You’ve got at least one person listening: yourself.

Lesson learned: these jokers say anything just to get a rise outta people. Michael Irvin knows better. I believe he has a sense of the history and tradition of football. Shame on him for pandering.
Very well said. Except who knows if he is trying to get a rise out of people, or if that is what he truly believes? Lets hope he was just looking for people to respond to him, and that he is not completely short sided when it comes to football history

Upon finding a crack pipe under the drivers seat of Irvin;’s car Michael tells the police “that’s not my crack pipe, it must belong to my friend who borrowed my car” yeah sure.
It still pisses me off that that guy is in the HOF and Sterling Sharpe isn’t.
Irvin is such an idiot. How in the world does that guy make a living as a commentator?
