You wouldn’t know it from my online presence, but I’m a very quiet person.
Meeting new people is something that I have struggled with my entire life. I never really know what to say, how to act, and when too much attitude is too much. For those of you who have met me, I’m sure you would probably agree. It is a lot different to be the overly tweeting mouthy blogger dude than it is to be the quiet and reserved shy guy who would not say two words if not provoked to speak.
For these reasons, tomorrow will no doubt be an interesting day.
If you are on Twitter, and are a Packer fan, you have no doubt seen the name Chicago Bear Jew tweet a few times. He is someone who I personally have had some good natured, and some not so friendly, discussions with in the past regarding our respective teams and how we feel about the opponent. Never short on opinions, both of us have no issues speaking our minds.
Despite the fact that Jonathan and I live within minutes of each other, we have never had a meeting of the opposite minds. Since it is Packers/Bears week, we decided to change that for this 183rd meeting of our two teams.
Tomorrow night, the two of us will sit down at The Ram in Wheeling, IL and I will once and for all try to convince him that the Packers are the superior team. If you are in the area, and up for some friendly conversation over a few beverages, let me know-the more the merrier.
What I need from you is questions. What do you want to know about the Bears? Their history? The fans? What does the rivalry mean to a Bears fan? Submit your questions, and I will try to get them all answered tomorrow night.
As an added bonus, we have a friendly wager on the game. A winner takes all proposition for a good cause. If the Packers win the game, Jonathan will make a $25 donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. If the Bears win (which of course they won’t) I will make a $25 donation to the North Suburban Special Recreation Association. If you want to make any suggestions for how to make the wager more interesting, please leave your ideas in the comments, or hit me up on Twitter.
This game will no doubt be epic, and hopefully tomorrow’s summit, with your help, will only add to the build up for the game.
