Let’s Lowball Jennings

I’ve been disagreeing with my pals at Cheeseheadtv.com lately, and that trend continues.
Aaron over at CHTV is saying the Packers are “lowballing” Jennings and spazzing out a bit, and I have to wonder if Aaron knows how this BUSINESS works.
Does Jennings deserve a payday? Hell yeah! Should the Packers, from a business standpoint, start off by offering him the world? No! Aaron is upset with this and I would be upset if they DID do that. It’s called “negotiating.”
I start low, you start high, then I move up and you move down a bit. This jockeying will continue for a couple months then MIRACULOUSLY, when it looked like no deal would be made, a deal will be made. Ta-da!
Mark my words, Greg Jennings will get a deal and be a Packer for a long time.
I’m with Aaron that if we don’t re-sign Jennings, who still has a year on his contract by the way, then Thompson will be getting some naughty words thrown his way by me.
But this is business, and shame on you for getting the people in an uproar, Aaron!

If Green Bay does not sign Greg Jennings I will cease to support the present organization entirely.
WOW!!!
Are you a Packer fan or do you just like the individuals that play the game. I agree that Greg deserves a raise (which I believe he will get) but to drop your allegance for the team…WOW!!! Sounds like another Favre thing.
Not my allegiance to the team, my support for those that run it. I always hope the Packers win.
again?
And we haven’t even hit the draft yet…no need to rush into anything. A deal with get done, no worries about that.
My guess is they will get a deal done sometime in July and Jennings will make around $9 million per year which is about what Dallas gave Williams last season and New England gave Moss last off season.
Williams: 5 yr -45 million with $20 m guaranteed
Moss: 3 yr – 27 million with $15 m guaranteed
Would not be upset with that at all.
If you hadn’t noticed, I updated my post.
I will say, all the “A deal will get done, don’t worry about it” – we heard that all throughout the lead up to the Ryan Grant hold out. NOT saying that Jennings will hold out. But if he enters the last year of his contract without a new deal, mu hunch is that he plays it out and hits the market.

I don’t really think it was Aaron, rather the “Shhhh…this is the voice I hear in my head and take it as fact” guy.
LMAO
