I almost took everything I said about Nick Collins back yesterday when he attended practice. I am sure glad I didn’t.
Silly as it sounds, I thought Collins might actually be making an effort to help out the Green Bay Packers. It turns out he is just a little light in the wallet. About a hundred grand to be exact.
According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette:
“Collins could lose more than $100,000 in fines and bonus recovery by not taking part.”
If Nick Collins had not reported to OTA practice yesterday, he would not have the time to pass his physical and medical tests before the mandatory mini-camp next week. No mini-camp, no one hundred grand. So much for doing the right thing for the right reason.
I’ll bet the farm that Collins gets an “injury” shortly after practice begins. Nice try Nick, no one is buying it.
