What I hope is that is guys are nicked up going into the season or worse there contribution to the team coming off the PUP is questionable, that we don't make the mistake again of waiting with little in mind of plan B.

Harrell and KGB come to mind rapidly.

If Jenkins and Harrell can't go in Preseason or any of Camp.. I hope we don't try to make due and then hope then can contribute coming back to the active roster. That burnt us about as much as anything else last season.

Hopefully a lesson learned by Ted and MM.

One of the first thing Bill Parcell's did when he got to Miami was to set out to decrease the amount of injuries. He believed in preventative conditioning. Maybe it was luck, but the amount of players on the injury list plummeted. The Patriots also believe in it and there numbers are also relatively low. I hope Redding also implements this. Endurance should help for a defense that has troubles in the fourth quarter.

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nflnation/0-6-466/Preston-enters-picture-for-Packers.html

Not the type of offensive lineman i was hoping for, but Preston should add depth.
Do you see him as a starter or Wells' back-up. Maybe they don't want to have to move spitz around if Wells gets injured or they're planning on moving wells to Guard. Who knows.

Redding is going to a less is more approach in the weight room. Short, intense sessions, with mandatory rest in between. Even closing the weight room on weekends.

It's in the Milwaukee Journal somewhere about a week back.

Good point about more LB's giving the special teams a boost. If they had the 3-4, they would not have axed Tracy White last season.

I don't remember hearing about the strength and conditioning coach's different philosopy, but that sounds good to me as well. A.J. Hawk does look kind of musclebound.

Agreed. It seemed a lot of times we were beating ourselves last year (At Chicago may have been the PERFECT example of that). We had the talent but lacked the chemistry. Without the favre issue looming over the team during training camp and an improved coaching staff, we should be more competitive this year.

That doesn't solve our issues of depth though. We still need a DE, OLB and NT, and OT that can carry a significant game-time load. That's my only concern.

The coaching changes are as good as any free agent signing. Better actually.
