He's Airborne

If you have been following our coverage of David's trip to Lambeau I am happy to announce he is airborne from Missouri. David checked in with me early this morning via laptop. Here is what he had to say.

Packers Lounge,

(4:15am)Well, I'm at the airport. The ticket counter doesn't open for another 15 minutes, so I found a nice spot to sit down in the lobby with a plug-in nearby.

Its the typical early morning airport scene; a few people are asleep on the couches in the lobby, the restaraunt isn't open yet, and there's really not that much going on.

(5:00)Well I made through the security checks, and I'm waiting at my gate. My flight will be boarding at 5:30am, and will depart at 5:50. So far everything thing is on time and on schedule.

Fox News is on, on the television behind me, and they're yapping about politics as usual. Why can't they put it on Sportscenter or something interesting? Oh well.

(5:25) Upon boarding the plane, noticed that the United employee checking boarding passes was a friend of a friend. We spoke for a few minutes, and right as I left I said, "Go Lions.", (He's a Lion's fan) Another gentlemen saw my Packers hat and we talked football for a few minutes. We discussed the injury situation, and how we desperately need Bigby to return.

(6:03) I am in the air headed for Chicago.

The flight attendant is starting the beverage service, which I think is kind of silly, since we are only going to be in the air for 1 hour and 6 minutes. Seems like its alot more trouble than what its worth. And considering how airlines struggle with money, cutting the beverage service for flights as short as these seems like a good way to cut costs.

(7:31) I just landed in Chicago. I have a 3 hour layover here so I'm going to get me a bite to eat and will check back with you when I take off for Green Bay. Stay tuned.

David

At the airport at 4:15? That's dedication. I also just got off the phone with IronMan who sounds more than ready to hit Green Bay. He says things are going well, and we'll here from him when he gets to the promised land. Check back throughout the weekend as we continue to follow David to Lambeau and back again.

I'm already insanely jealous. Tell the crew PackOne and Tromadz say what's up.

(Stay Tuned)
