Group Dynamics

I have been keeping an eager eye on The NFP this week. I have been reading it for quite some time now, but lately, the speculation on the Packer's coaching positions has been fierce.

Andrew Brandt brings up a great point today in his "Tuesday Thoughts" regarding the possibility of problems in dealing with the group dynamics among coaches and players.

"Some of the Packers players wanted more aggressive schemes and more input in the game plan. Coaches should not let players coach, although the way coaches manage their input – which happens on every team in the league — says a lot. Tactful deference to players’ interests, without caving in to their demands, is integral to team dynamics."

Once again, this is where the fans realize that we will never be privy to the behind-the-scenes interaction of personalities in the Packer's workplace.

You saw the results repeatedly this season. A team uninspired and visibly indifferent on more than one occasion.

Let us all hope whoever we bring in can find the fine line to change that.
