This is what most Pack fans are going to be saying to themselves this weekend. The Lions have already made history by being the first team to go 0-15. If Green Bay beats Detroit, they will obviously be the first team to get the legendary 0-16 mark. That’s if the Packers can beat them.
During 90% of the Packers losses, they have been the better team. They played like the better team. They dominated like the better team should. But they lost. As we all know, our special teams units are horrible. We are also all familiar with the fourth quarter collapse by our defense.
Do not let it happen against the Lions. Please. Go up by more than one touchdown. Kick it out of bounds on every kick off. Do something different. Anything. Please.
The Lions’ embarrassing situation might humiliate the Packers most of all. Potentially, instead of everyone remembering the Lions as the team who went 0-16, the Packers might be known as the team who let them win the season finale and go 1-15 instead. Do not be the team to allow this. Please.
I lost a hundred bucks with the Packers losing to the Bears, but part of me would rather win THIS game if I had the choice. Pride and honor have more weight than money.
The countdown begins. The season finale approaches. Will we be the team who allows the Lions to finish 1-15 or will we just be the team who themselves finish 6-10. Both are ugly results, but one is much more uglier.
Don’t be the team.
