Breaking: Brett Favre Lost Audio

I was going to stay out of the Favre situation, but you can blame this one on Jersey Al. I happened to catch his post yesterday with the aerial coverage of Favre’s arrival in Winter Park. It was cool to watch, but I wasn’t thrilled with all the silent audio.
I knew that the helicopter video guys carry along those big satellite dish like microphones whenever they go mobile (like you see on the sidelines). So, through a former Green Bay guy who prefers to remain nameless, and more frickin’ phone calls than you can imagine, I was granted a copy of the raw audio from the event with the promise that I would not profit from its use.
Thanks to Jersey Al’s video, and the audio from the station, I was able (over the course of 16 long hours) to take out most of the background noise, and get an audible recording of what went on in Favre’s car and in the parking lot when he got there. I then put the audio on top of the original video, and what comes out is a pretty good copy of what happened.
I would like that thank everyone involved in the process today, and now I too can finally break a story before everyone else.
