For all the criticism I heap on TT, his rejection of Favre's demands was a very, very good decision. This "soap opera" is now firmly placed elsewhere. Thanks, TT.

What I am feeling can only be described as "SchadenFavre," or taking pleasure from the misfortune of others dealing with Favre...;-)

This would mean yet another competent QB out there for the Vikes. And we all know how much Favre likes vikes.

I can't believe I just took a pot-shot at my childhood hero.

Anyone see (or hear) Rodgers on Mike and Mike this morning?

Couldn't be happier he is our guy. He is one cool customer.

The Minneaplois STRIB says, Jets say, "If Favre doesn't show up for OTA's ( that's a joke, just try and get him off that tractor before June) this year, Favre will be cut or traded." Vikings, of course, will go after him. Jets trade Favre to Minneapolis = Big Time Draft Picks for Packers. Go for it! If he goes and forces the game mo one wants, he will be the big loser in that. Regardless of the outcome.

The Packers get 3 first round picks from the Jets if they trade him to MIN. No way that's going to happen. Now, if he's released...

You're right, of course, but it's fun to dream.

First I listen to NY sports on the radio the Jets are not going to cut Favre.I don't see him going to yet another team like the Vikings and have to learn another system with new recievers, then again wer'e talking abought Favre. The fact that he didn't get the surgery makes it look like he's goig to retire.I personally don't care, looking forward to Rodgers second year and a new defense.

aaron. dead on - word's cannot express. listening to and reading this coverage of favre is now like the feeling you get after eating a nice fancy steak dinner, coming home and taking a huge dump, and then lying down on a leather couch. satisfaction. i imagine it's also quite a bit like becoming a grandparent and watching your kids fumble over a tantrum. joy to the world!

and i understand you also get to enjoy listening to local ny radio filled with jets fans who have been afforded another scapegoat for their eternal misery in #4 this past year. that's not saying he didn't suck. he really did.

that said -- FAVRE TO THE VIKINGS IN '09!!!

He isn't going to carry a team to anything at this point in his career. I think he is still good enough to take a real good team to a Superbowl. The Vikings might have been a great fit for him. West coast offense. Great line. Great RB. You have to think that offense would have been far better with Favre instead of Gus/Tavaris. Throw in a smart head coach and they actually might have lived up to the pre-season Superbowl hype!

Wish he would just retire so we could welcome him back. He keeps this up it may be a long time before he sees the ring of honor. That would be sad.
