Woodson and Harris Get Their Wish

It's one sentence buried in an article in today's Journal-Sentinel, about Atari Bigby taking over the starting strong safety job from Marquad Manuel, but it is telling.

A source close to the situation said cornerbacks Al Harris and Charles Woodson had been lobbying the coaches for Bigby to replace Manuel, a player whom they apparently no longer trusted.

It's one thing for blowhard bloggers such as your faithful author to decry the talents of a professional football player. It's quite another for the starting cornerbacks to lobby the coaching staff, and apparently not very quietly, to replace the weakest link in the defensive backfield chain.
If, as McGinn's quote suggests, Harris and Woodson 'no longer trust' Manuel, I would look for him to follow Underwood out the door.
