Williams To Offer ‘Home Town’ Discount?

This should please all the Corey Williams fans out there. Everything I had seen reported on Williams entering the off season indicated he was adamant that he wanted to test the market. But now Pro Football Weekly, citing the Journal Sentinel, says that Williams is willing to play for a bit less to stay in Green Bay. Somehow, I doubt Thompson’s idea of ‘a bit less’ and Williams’ idea of ‘a bit less’ are even in the same zip code, but it’s a positive development for a player I had assumed had his sites set on getting out of Green Bay as fast as another NFL owners checkbook could carry him. Now, this may be all so much bluster, but it’s refreshing nonetheless.
