Who Cares Who They Play?

That's right - I don't care who the Packers play in the playoffs. (Oh, I have opinions about it, sure.) But right now, I just want to enjoy the fact that, after a 6-10 season that left all of PackerFandom a desolate wasteland, the Green Bay Packers are headed back to the playoffs, where truly, anything can happen.

I understand people wanting to know NOW who the Packers are going to play, but really, what's the rush? Just sit back, relax, and enjoy watching Brett Favre being miserable in the cold at Solider Field tonight. :)

I agree but for different reasons. None of the NFC or AFC teams have shown Green Bay doesn't have a realistic chance of beating them. We've shown a lot of potential on both sides of the ball. Sure we've been vulnerable this year, but what team in the NFL hasn't-- especially in the past couple weeks. Records are thrown out the window in the playoffs

Agreed. Sure I have opinions about who the better matchup may be but, given a choice, I would rather see the D-Line rested against AZ this week and healthy for the first round of playoffs. Obviously there are bad matchups out there when we're forced to nickle or dime and a rested D-line can make all the difference in the world if they pressure without blitzing.

As a Packer fan stranded on the East Coast I would love for the stars to align for a Packers - Eagles game, but it's a long shot.

It doesn't matter who the Packers face in the playoffs. All of the teams in the playoffs are going to be good, and the Packers' players and coaches will have to be at their best. With that said, I like the momentum the Packers are carrying into the postseason.

Of the teams in the NFC, the Packer defense is the best. Anybody, anywhere, anytime.

I agree with this sentiment. Packers can score with anyone and our D has been coming together. If they execute they can hang with and beat anybody.

Mr Butler had a similar sentiment.

No matter who we get, we're going to have to generate enough pressure on the passer to make up for our shortcomings in the secondary. When you look at Brees, Favre, McNabb or Warner, I think Favre and Warner are most likely to get rattled and do really stupid things. So I don't mind getting drawing Warner. And Philly really doesn't bother to play defense at all. I didn't comment on Romo, because if they end up as the other wild card we wouldn't play them until the NFCC game...and I'll be thrilled if we make it there.

I am of the same opinion as Mr. Nagler. Sans Al Harris and plus Jarrett Bush (sp?) we are in trouble with Philly and Arizona. It doesn't make me happy to say it, but that's the truth.

With all that said, I WANT MINNY in the first round! This whole season is pointless without a victory over the Queenies and the drama Queen. If we beat them in round one, everything else is icing on the cake.

I feel like a traitor, or at least one-half a traitor, in praying for a Bear victory. Actually, I want both of them to lose miserably. I want both teams to hang their heads in shame after this game. I want both to lose ANY confidence in themselves they may have. IOW, a POX on them!!

Oh fish, that is priceless. Judas is getting his electric underwear out, no doubt.

I don't think we'll get all that far in the playoffs. I hope we do, but don't think we will. All I hope is if we play the Vikes, we beat them. Because I don't think my soul can take one more look at Judas' smirking face after they beat us. It's true, if we beat them, everything else is gravy.

I think we have the best chance at beating Dallas and Philly. I have a feeling that games against NO, MIN or ARZ would be shoot-outs, and that worries me a bit.

The Packers can hang with anyone in the NFC providing they play to their potential. I don't think anyone else in the field has more talent per se..

That said, the Eagles are the team I wouldn't want to face in the NFC this post-season.

Here's hoping we put out best foot forward in the play-offs- win or lose, so long as the Pack gives it all they've got, I'll be proud. This is a young team that is just getting started.

Agree that Jarrett Bush is a huge liability heading into the playoffs. Could pose a large issue against AZ receivers.
