Video from ESPN: Eddie Lacy's Family Displaced by Hurricane Katrina

Watch how the lives of Eddie Lacy's family were impacted by Hurricane Katrina when their home was destroyed.

This story is not new. It originally aired shortly before the NFL Draft, before Eddie Lacy was drafted by the Green Bay Packers.

Since being selected by the Packers, however, I think this story has flown under the radar, in a sense.

Newfound attention has focused more on the resurgence of the Packers' ground game. And any attention that Lacy, himself, received was about his toe injury and surgery, and why he dropped so far in the NFL Draft.

All that has obscured an inspirational story about how the Lacy family persevered after their home in Louisiana was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina back in 2005.

Both mother and father, who previously had stable jobs, were forced to find new ones and ended up moving into a trailer house.

Now that he's in the NFL, Lacy is looking forward to helping his family getting back on their feet so many years after their lives were forever changed by Katrina.
