Video: Debate Ensues About Guns At Lambeau Field

With Wisconsin expected to approve concealed carry, conversation has turned to whether guns will be allowed at Lambeau Field.

Wisconsin looks to become the 49th state that will approve concealed carry of guns in public places, and locally it has sparked debate whether guns will be allowed in Lambeau Field.

The story has already been covered from ProFootballTalk.com to Acme Packing Company to Total Packers. But to add to the debate, I just wanted to provide video from the source where the story originated, Green Bay's Fox affiliate, WLUK-TV and reporter Kristen Crowley...

I'm a little confused. Why in the world would any person need or want to bring a gun into a football game?

Well to defend yourself against other people who brought their guns to the game. It's a solution to it's own problem! Better get your bullet proof cheese vest, because generally when someone starts popping off caps in a large mob of people it ends badly.

How many times has someone looked at you and you thought "whoa, that guy/lady/infant is scheming something"?

Well, now you don't have to worry about if that little 8 year girl will try to murder you when you're not looking! You just shoot them first!

Well, that might actually be a good idea. If they're too stoned, they can't fire guns!

That might backfire and make the crowd too complacent, destroying homefield advantage...

But at least the consession stands will make a ton!

If concealed weapons are allowed in 48 other states, what do those states do with NFL teams?

Not sure what other states are doing, but in Minnesota businesses can ban guns from their premises (most businesses do this). They just have to post a sign declaring that guns are banned. I haven't checked the Metrodome, but I'm sure they've got "guns are banned" signs there. Target Field, too.

Sounds like the Wisconsin law is different. Too bad; seems like individual property owners should have the right to prohibit people from bringing guns onto their property.

I opposed Minnesota's conceal/carry law, but I have to admit that it really hasn't had much of an impact on public safety eithter way.

Bring more guns onto the streets to combat guns on the streets. Some people should be walking around with bicycle helmets on. I really hope Lambeau Field won't allow them. Show me someone has some damn sense.

A tongue twister and riddle.

If portly Packer-backer Peter picked a pad of pistol permits; how many pistols could portly Packer-backer Peter pack?
